about kaitlyn
Kaitlyn McQuin is an actor, writer, and funny gal from New Orleans, Louisiana. She received her Bachelor’s from The University of New Orleans in 2013 and went on to teach theatre for several years in New Orleans and Washington, D.C., where she also wrote for a magazine and a human services non-profit. In 2018, she moved to Southern California and began studying improv at The Upright Citizens Brigade, where she studied under Dan Hodapp for Improv 101 and 201. She co-wrote her very first screenplay with a partner titled “Party Girl: A Modern Fairytale.” In the fall of 2019, Kaitlyn spent two months in Los Angeles workshopping her screenplay, studying with Billy Merrit at Upright Citizens Brigade for Improv 301 and studying film audition techniques with Robert D’Avanzo in his 6-week on-camera audition course. Kaitlyn is currently seeking representation for her debut women’s fiction novel and is co-writing a television series (set in the late 1800s in New Orleans) on the birth of the death industry titled ‘Resurrectionist.’ When she isn’t working or writing, Kaitlyn is snuggling with her rescue pup or crying while watching dog videos online.
